Why SOC 2 matters
SOC 2 is the industry standard certification for security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Obtaining the certification requires an independent audit from a firm registered with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants providing a third-party and objective assessment of the controls governing the development and operation of a software application.
SOC 2 & UpLink
UpLink allows accountants, auditors, and lawyers to request and collect documents from clients. Because of the sensitive nature of many of these documents, security is paramount. Two of UpLink's founders were IT security auditors, so this certification is of particular importance to the company. We have made and continue to make significant investments in the security of UpLink and this certification demonstrates that commitment and investment.

What's next
SOC 2 reports are valid for up to a year from issuance and should be renewed. We are committed to maintaining this certification each year to maintain the confidence our users have in the security of UpLink.
